Mom Rules!

The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world…" this is the only line I can remember from a ten-minute recitation in Junior High. As a thirteen-year old, I didn’t understand that poem, and even now, as a grandmother, I am just beginning to grasp the magnitude of power in the hands of every mother.

God-given power. God created the link between woman and her baby, giving woman the greatest influence in the world, opportunity to raise up the next generation.

A mom and her prenatal baby are linked; spirit, soul and body. Prenatal research indicates that a baby is influenced by everything that touches mom. When Adam and Eve walked in the Garden in the cool of the day, joy, peace and love abounded. It was God’s design that only positive influences would touch our prenatal babies. But with the fall of man, that influence has the possibility of being perverted. Researchers state that your baby becomes stressed when you even think about doing something harmful like smoking a cigarette!

It is your responsibility to erect a fortress around your prenatal womb, re-creating the Garden of Eden. Only you can protect your child from ungodly and harmful influences. You must keep all enemies out; enemies like stress, loud music, cigarettes, wrong foods and drink, which can be very harmful to your little one.

Besides adamantly protecting, your responsibility also includes joyful impartation.

God has given women the power to shape, mold and instill principles and spiritual truths that will remain their children for eternity. They will rise up and pass them on to their children after them. And so time moves on.

An organized method of impartation before birth is called prenatal stimulation. A four-month old baby doesn't normally sing on pitch; a seven-month old doesn't normally raise their arms and face toward heaven during in a worship service, but they might if they were surrounded with musical and Godly influences before they took their first breath.

God has a predetermined destiny for your baby… to make your him/her just like Jesus. God began the fulfillment of His plan for your baby at the moment of conception. God, your baby’s Creator, has been calling your baby by a name, which contains their destiny. God has good plans in mind and in store for your baby; plans to take part in the dominion He created for us to share on this earth.(Jeremiah 1:5, Isaiah 49:1, Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 8:29; Ephesians 1:5, Psalm 8:6; 115:11; Daniel 2:44; 7:27; Isaiah 9:7; Luke 1:33.)

You became a parent at the moment of conception. Now is the most amazing time to rise to the occasion and give precious consideration to the baby who needs you most… right now. Make every single day count towards their future.

What an amazing opportunity to rule the world!

Quoting the last two verses from this poem by William Ross Wallace.

Woman, how divine your mission
Here upon our natal sod!
Keep, oh, keep the young heart open
Always to the breath of God!
All true trophies of the ages
Are from mother-love impearled;
For the hand that rocks the cradle
Is the hand that rules the world.

Blessings on the hand of women!
Fathers, sons, and daughters cry,
And the sacred song is mingled
With the worship in the sky--
Mingles where no tempest darkens,
Rainbows evermore are hurled;
For the hand that rocks the cradle
Is the hand that rules the world.
